Including Samson, who is a 100+ lb. Sulcata tortoise. We practice beneficial insect, herbicide and pest controls and prevention. Hand removal, fancy chickens, ducks, lady bugs, praying mantis, nematodes, dragonflies, frogs, toads and gambusia affinis (mosquito eating fish) help control pests and weeds rather than using chemical sprays. Did you know… The common goldfish is a species of introduced carp, but is not an indigenous fish to the waters of the Delaware valley and should not be released into flow-thru creeks, streams or ponds? Purple Loosestrife Lythrum salicaria L. is one of thirteen illegal plants to grow or plant in Pennsylvania? It is extremely invasive. More Splash Facts to Come…

In the United States, water gardening has seen a dramatic increase in popularity. It is widely thought that within a few years, one out of every four American homes will have a water feature in it. Having been in the pond business for more than 24 years myself, I have seen hundreds ofreasons why people install water in their gardens. In the 1980’s researchers found that viewing fish swimming in an aquarium could lower a person’s blood pressure…Now one of the more popular trends is water gardening for birds and butterflies . read more…
